Why I need the Pirate Party

I was inspired to write this letter upon seeing the picture of Swedish MEP Andersdotter because she is about a year younger than me and is already writing the future of her country.

PayPal freezes Wikileaks.org's assets

Today Paypal has frozen the assets of popular whistleblowing website Wikileaks.org.
The Wikileaks project is quite possibly one of the most influential free speech organizations to spring up in the past few years, helping publish documents exposing corruption that would otherwise have never made it to the general public.

An Essay Introducing the Pirate Party

Homesteading is an American Tradition. The ever present migration of people and their cultures to the United States, the push for the populace to always head west and stake claims to unknown territory, and the movement of residents into cities all represent the American right to locate and relocate where desired. The US Pirate Party believes that the free flow of people IS the free flow of information.

Apparently in honor of me joining the Pirate Party Wizards of the Coast decided to sue 8 people for uploading a scanned copy of the 4th ed PhB2. I have to say I applaud their tact. Probably a coincidence they filed the suite right about the same time I joined PPUS.

The Orphaned Works Act

This document regards a currently dead bill known as the Orphaned Works Act. Many readers will probably be wondering why I would bother writing about a dead bill. Beside the fact that the bill may be ressurected, this document has two goals: (a)to help the reader understand the goals of the corporate special interest groups in regard to copyrighting, and (b)to provide a talking-point in regards to the inconsistancies of what is being said and what is being done.
